By the time wrinkles and fine lines appear, the body would have beeb ageing for a long time. Ageing is a continuous process.Researcg shows that the body starts to wear out at age 25 , cell function declines and the organs and epidermis age accordingly. Hence , looking young is no assurance that our internal organs are also in the tip top condition. ageing weakens the immune system, making the body vulnerable to all kinds of illnesses. The best guard against ageing would thus be maintaining a healthy body early on. Its begins with healthy habits such as having a balanced plant – based diet, which provides the nutrients to delay ageing.Ageing is not the mark of the elderly, because age is not the sole factor of ageing.Human body cells age faster when the body is permanently exposed to contaminated environments, air pollution, food additives, heavy metals, smoking, unhealthy diets, stress and irregular work hours.Whats more is the loss of the collagen due to ageing of internal organs results in skin that loses elasticity and firmness.

By nourishing your skin and rejuvenate your body with rich in powerful antioxidants, phytochemicals and trace minerals, to nourish the organs and enhance coordination between the various system in the body .It defends the entire body against ageing from within , in a natural healthy way . The body radiates the vibrancy of youth , living younger each day .

Want to know not only skin need collagen other parts of body also needs it and how to be beautiful from inside out. Please stay tune .

Is Vitamin Water really good for you? Uncover the truth about this beverage!

It is sold everywhere and marketed as something that is good for your body…

But is vitamin water really good for you?

Other than water the most prominent ingredient in vitamin water is fructose or also known as refined sugar.

If vitamin and water is all you need than why is it that sugar is added to vitamin water?

The amount of sugar that can be found in vitamin water is also much more than you think…

While the label claims only 13 grams of sugar per serving…

The 120 ounce of vitamin water is define to be 2.5 servings.

So if you are to drink the entire bottle of water, the amount of sugar that you intake into your body amounts to 32.5 grams of sugar! Not the 13 grams of sugar that you read off the label.

That amount of sugar is equivalent to the amount of sugar that can be found on any brand of soda.

So is

vitamin water = non carbonated soda?

You make your choice!

If you want healthy vitamin pack beverages, why not get a juicer and make your own vitamin pack juice straight from a healthy serving of fruits and vegetable!

If you prefer an easy way to get your daily serving of vitamins without the hassle, drop me an email. I will teach you how!

Get those muscle moving!

Arthritis is a condition for people with painful joints. It is a symptom where by the person’s immune system does not recognize it’s own body cell and the immune system in the body starts attacking the body. Arthritis causes pain to the person’s joint and it is inevitable that exercising becomes a dreadful task. The last thing that people with arthritis may want to do is to exercise, but it may be good for them.

According to the Centers for Disease Control in the United States, exercise is one of the best ways to combat the onset of arthritis as well as to control pain and improve function, report Medical News Today.

“People who have arthritis are often scared to exercise because they think they will hurt themselves, but the condition will only get worse if people don’t get moving,” said Ms Valerie Walkowiak, Medical Integration Coordinator at the Loyola Center for fitness.

The best exercise routine will depend on what type of arthritis you have, Ms Walkowiak added. However, all of these workouts should include stretching, muscle strengthening and low-impact aerobic exercise.

“For all arthritis sufferers, the most beneficial exercise will be stretching to increase range of motion around an affected joint,” said Ms Walkowiak.

One can include muscle strength training as a daily routine. Muscle strength training improve the muscle and movement on an individual. One can include low-impact aerobic exercises such as walking, stationary bikes, yoga, swimming, tai chi and even gardening. This gets the heart pumping and it is good for the general health of the individual.

Whatever exercise you choose it is important that you do not over strain yourself. Always listen to your body and don’t push yourself too far. And get professional advice before starting a programme.

Potatoes are rich in carbohydrates, making them a good source of energy.

Make a welcome addition to any barbecue, lunch, or picnic with this mouth water potato salad recipe!

Tangy Potato Salad with Scallions

Ingredients:
Salt
Ground pepper
5 potatoes, scrubbed, halved, and sliced 1/2 inch thick
1/2 cup white-wine vinegar
4 scallions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions:

Preparation for the sauce

1. Mix equal parts of the olive oil and white-wine vinegar thoroughly.

Preparation of the potatoes

1. Set a steamer basket in a large pot and fill it with enough salted water so that the water level comes up to just below the basket. Cover the lid and bring the water to a boil. Place the potatoes in basket and steam the potatoes in medium heat. Toss the potatoes gently and steam it until it is crisp and tender. (It takes around 10 to 15 minutes.)

2. Mix equal parts of the olive oil, white-wine vinegar and scallions in a large bowl thoroughly. When potatoes are cooked, transfer it into a large bowl with the vinegar mixture. Toss and mix the salad. Finally, season the potato salad with salt and pepper.

3. Let the potato salad cool and store it in a fridge. Serve it after one day.

Servings 3-4 persons

Escherichia coli or commonly known as E. coli is a type of bacteria that is commonly found in the intestines of human as well as animals. Most strains of E. coli are harmless. However some strains of E. Coli can be deadly to human. Deadly strains of E. Coli can produce powerful toxin that can cause the walls of the intestine to bleed resulting in bloody diarrhea.

What are the symptoms and possible consequences of infection?

The possible symptoms that may result from an E. coli infection are:

1. Fever
2. Vomiting
3. Abdominal Cramps
4. Bloody Diarrhea

E. Coli Infection can lead to:

1. Dehydration
2. Drastic drop in red blood count and platelet count
3. Urinary tract infection
4. Kidney failure.

How can we get infected and how do we prevent E. Coli infection?

We can get infected by E. Coli when we consume undercooked ground beef or vegetables. Vegetable that are grown in cow manure or next cattle farm can be contaminated by the E. coli bacteria. Transmission of the bacteria can also occur when one comes into contact with water that is contaminated by the bacteria.

To ensure that we do not get infected or pass on the infection, one has to ensure
1. Raw beef are being cooked properly. The cooked beef should not contain traces of red or pink uncooked portions.
2. Plates that are used to contained cooked beef and raw beef should not be mixed together.
3. If you have a diarrhea or is infected, ensure that you hands with hot water properly before handling food to prevent the spreading of the infection.

Treatment of Infection

Though antibiotics are usually being used in the treatment of bacterial infection, it is not the case for E. Coli. This is due to the sensitivity of the bacteria in response to antibiotics. E. Coli can develop a resistance to antibiotics when not treated properly. The overuse of antibiotics is one of the biggest that has cause bacteria to develop a resistance to a range of antibiotics.

When antibiotics is used in the treatment of E. Coli, it can cause even more serious damaged to the infected host. This is because treatment using antibiotics can cause the bacteria to release even more toxins, resulting in a high risk for kidney failure.

Currently there is NO treatment. Our body can clear the bacteria out of our system in 5 to 10 days. The infected person should seek medical advice on the monitoring of blood and platelet count. Besides that one should avoid drugs to stop the diarrhea (unless advised by a medical professional) as it slows down the recovery process. The intake of water should increase to replenish the water that is being loss during periods of diarrhea.

Water. One of the most important element that we cannot live without

The human body is made up of about 55 to 78 percent water. Water is the most important and essential element to us. We can survival for weeks and months without food but if we do not have water within our reach, we are quite literately considered dead!

So how long exactly can a normal human being survive without water? Assuming that you are in an ideal condition. Not at the mercy of heat and cold, not losing too much water by sweating, passing motion or even breathing! You can last probably 3 to 5 days without water. Well, that is the ideal case…

There are campaigns out there that promote saving water and we all know about the water life cycle that we have always seen in our textbook right? Water is always present, so what is the big deal about those campaign that promotes the message to save water? The truth about that is that water is everywhere but CLEAN WATER is not! There are countries around the world that are facing water shortages and the issue gets bigger with our ever increasing population!

When you turn on that tap… Voila! Instant CLEAN WATER within your reach. Seems alot like magic right. Well, there is no magic, water that comes into our taps are being process by water plants.

But how clean is our water exactly?

Water treatment plants processes the water and make it as safe as possible, but it is impossible to get rid of all contaminants. While the treated water are being pumped to our home or building, the water passes through miles of aging water pipes and infrastructure and might absorb impurities along the way.

More and more people nowadays are taking in antioxidant and do you know why you should take in antioxidant on a daily basis? Let us explore into the reason.

Free Radicals

Free radicals are produced outside and inside of our body. They are unstable chemicals that can be found in sources such as tobacco smoke, oil fumes, pollutants, radiation. Free radicals are also formed within our body during metabolic processes such as digestion.

When you peel an apple and leave it untouch. Have you notice that it will turn brown? The iron nails that you knock onto the wall to hang your painting. Rust will form on the nails after a few months right? They are the results of oxidation. Free radicals are oxidant. In the same way, free radicals can breakdown our cells. They scavenge our body to grab or donate electrons and can damaging our cells, proteins, and even DNA.

What do Antioxidants do?

Now you know about the damaging effects of free radicals. Let’s take a look at antioxidant.

Antioxidant are substance that can reduce the effect of the free radicals. In much the same way, instead of having the free radicals attacking your body, antioxidant acts as the defense. The antioxidants neutralizes the free radicals. In the process, the antioxidants are being oxidized and the level of antioxidant is slowly being depleted. That is the reason why we have to take in antioxidant on a daily basis.

Taking in Antioxidants

Antioxidant are found in many fruits and vegetable. Eating a healthy dose of fruits like blueberry, strawberries, oranges, kiwi, broccoli can help the body replenish the level of antioxidants in your body! What are you waiting for? Starting bring more of these fruits and vegetables into your diet today!
